Excellent and authentic history of the Santa Fe trail
Marion Russell was an amazing woman whose autobiography captures what it was like for a woman on the trail and as a young woman at Fort Union as well as the challenging times afterward. She first hand knew well known Trail characters, including Kit Carson.
